Art classes in Berlin
It’s amazing to see children studying old masters, trying to get it all same and perfect. They can take forever. And I mean forever. There are projects they just don’t last. This one does! It’s like colouring book. Relaxing and meditative. At least when the architectural part is behind.
And they really all enjoy it. No exceptions whatsoever.
We researched vitamins and minerals in connection to our unit of inquiry ‘healthy choices’. In the end we decided not to take it too serious and just make a bit of veggie jokes where a tomato driven by a car becomes a ketchup and a banana can and will not return because it is after all really not a boomerang. It was real fun and the works are beautiful.
The magic of 11.11 and the beautiful city of little lights and songs singed by tiny voices.
We were ready! We made the pretty lanterns with crayons, water colours and inks. We used aquarell paper and thicker drawing paper, both were fine. When the paintings were dried I oiled them with kitchen oil, children beaded the wires and wrapped the sticks in wool (one could just as well use some tiny tree branches and they would look even nicer).
They looked lovely in the night but my phone photos are no prove at all so I’m not posting any!
